During pregnancy, women often suffer from skin aliments as skin changes due to hormonal ups and downs. But worry not! It is a common problem suffered by all expecting mothers.

The hormonal changes that takes place under mother’s body only affects the skin of the mother neither her body nor the body of her unborn child. Skin rashes are the most common skin ailment that affects pregnant women. Itchy sensation without any rash can also irritate the expecting mother. Remember if itching is mild, then treat it by your homely remedies but in case of severe itching, rush to your doctor immediately to seek advice.

PUPPP is an itchy rash on abdomen area that can affect you in last three months of your pregnancy period. It is thought to occur when foetal cells enters into mother’s blood through placenta which causes irritation. Unfortunately, there is no remedy for this ailment but once the child gets born, it gets resolve itself.

Red sores that appear as batches on arms, tummy and leg areas are quite irritating for pregnant women but they too get resolved themselves once the child gets born. But the good news is that both child as well as mother does not get affected much by these sores.

Many times, pregnant women suffer from big rashes all over their body which appears exactly like big insects bites. These rashes are quite harmful for baby but once the baby gets delivered, they vanish quickly.

Some other skin ailments that can affect pregnant women are brown patches on forehead and cheeks area. Veins can become more prominent than before and leg veins can even become swollen. Acne breakouts can badly affect theexpecting mothers. During pregnancy, existing moles can grow bigger and darker and red lines can appear on your abdomen and thighs area.
