Breakfast on the Farm Recap

The goat farm (Prairie Fruits Farm) has shown up a few times in recent weeks - and this Saturday was no exception. Every spring before the farmer's market starts, for a month or so before, they have breakfast on the farm. Inviting people to come buy cheese and other early spring produce, eat breakfast, and see the baby goats. Since the market starts next week, this was the last weekend of the year for breakfast. I gathered a group of friends and we headed out early to grab some delicious grub. Since pictures speak louder than words - here are some treats from the last couple Saturdays.

French toast stuffed with goat ricotta, apricot, and minced bacon topped with black berry sauce.

Apricot plum compote scone, dried tomato and fet hand pie, and shortbread apricot cookie.

Carrot Cilantro salad, spinach pancakes, and a fried egg drizzled with goat chevre sauce.
Super cute two-day-old baby goats!

It's been good while it lasted - now to get excited about the farmer's market!
