Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Pumpkin again!! I told you I was obsessed with pumpkin. This is a recipe I made up for a weight loss surgery patient, but I find myself making it for breakfast.

This tasty treat is high in protein, packed with vitamin A and will fill you up without the added calories. The best part – it takes like pumpkin pie. The consistency is thicker than most shakes, which will fill you up like a meal.

1 c. fat-free plain or vanilla yogurt
1 c. canned pumpkin
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 scoop Bariatric Advantage Protein Powder (or other 25-30g protein supplement)
1 c. ice cubes

Dump everything into a blender and mix until well blended. This makes 2 servings, so stick the other half in the refrigerator and save for another time.

If you like a thinner smoothie, a cup of milk may be substituted for the yogurt, this however will lower the protein content.
